We present a few pictures of the dozens upon dozens of American Diabetes
Association (ADA)
Expo attendees who joined FAIR at our Denver, Colorado exhibit booth
03/1/08, and we join
with all exhibitors in being most grateful to their ADA Associate Director,
Perri Dombroski, for the
commendable manner in which she handled the exhibitors and
thousands of attendees.

A diabetic or family member joined FAIR every 3.6 minutes for six full
hours, including the Geier
family seen above: Jaden, Mike, Dana and Ryan who is a Type 1 diabetic
who would benefit
from the FAIR Foundation goal of proper, increased funding for diabetes
research. Dana is
competing in the Mrs. Colorado contest with the very laudable goal of
increasing awareness
in schools for children with Type 1 diabetes.

George Smith, see here with dad, Eric, is truly an amazing young boy.
What has his Type 1
diabetes inspired him to do? He wrote an educational book for children
with diabetes
entitled George's Cookbook for Kids. George wrote it to help
newly diagnosed Type 1 families
answer the question "What do we feed our child?" And...he was cooking at
the convention!
You may read about George's book and purchase a copy
