The Loma Linda University School of Dentistry (LLUSD) operates 76 mission dental clinics that are associated with the worldwide Seventh Day Adventist church. LLUSD maintains active student programs on 10 external sites which treat approximately 2,500 patients per year and the students travel to 15 countries each year that have limited or no access to dental facilities to treat an additional 3,500 patients.  At the Commencement ceremonies there were a total of 182 graduates: 89 Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degrees were awarded to students from the United States, 24 D.D.S. degrees to International Dentists, 41 Dental Hygiene degrees and 28 were Advanced Education graduates. Four D.D.S. graduates scored 90% or above on BOTH Part I and Part II of the National Boards. 94% of the 2007 DDS class passed the Western Regional Examining Board licensure exams on their first time taking the test, and 91% of International Dentists passed this exam on their first time taking the exam. Graduating class members have pledged to volunteer hundreds of hours a month to the under-served in their communities. 

Dr. Goodacre can rightfully be proud of his school’s graduates, as we are proud of his membership on FAIR’s Board of Directors.
