The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) HIV/AIDS
Funding: CDC funding includes
funding for HIV Prevention Cooperative Agreements, HIV/AIDS
Surveillance Cooperative Agreements,
Community-Based/Capacity Building Assistance Providers, Division of
Adolescent and School Health
(DASH), and miscellaneous grants.
Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA):
HOPWA provides housing assistance and
related support services for low-income persons with HIV/AIDS and
their families.
Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA):
SAMHSA funding includes
funding for the Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS), the
Center for Substance Abuse Prevention
(CSAP), and the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT).
Office of Minority Health (OMH):
OMH funding includes funding for the Minority Community Health
Coalition Demonstration Grant Program, the State and Territorial
HIV/AIDS Demonstration Grant Program,
the HIV/AIDS Health Promotion and Education Cooperative Agreements,
and the Technical Assistance and
Capacity Development Demonstration Grant Program.
Ryan White CARE Act: The Ryan
White Comprehensive AIDS Resources Emergency (CARE) of 1990
Public Law 101-381) provides funding to cities, states and other
public or private nonprofit entities to
develop, organize, coordinate and operate systems for the delivery
of health care and support services
to medically underserved individuals and families affected by HIV
disease.
