At the American Optometric Association's Annual Conference in Las Vegas many new
doctors and their wives joined our effort. We were also honored to have many students

  Dr. Darling attended day 1 as CEO of FAIR and day 2 as the Founder of the Coachella Valley
  Hepatitis C, Liver Disease & Transplant Support Group and as an HCV patient. Dr. Silvestre
  organized the events and was named Chair of the CA Hepatitis Alliance, an organization
  consisting of CA hepatitis groups dedicated to improving the services and treatment available
  for HCV patients. There was no mention in the first Newsletter of the need for more research
  to develop better drugs for HCV patients.
