FAIR Board Member Ray Hill Honored in Houston, Texas

The Houston American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) awarded Ray their Lifetime Achievement Award on December 2nd for his outstanding efforts toward equal treatment and human and civil rights of gay/lesbian/transgender people; people with AIDS, former offenders, freedom of speech and other forms of expression for all people and more recently his support for balance in funding for research and treatment of HCV and diabetes.

The citizens of Houston also honored Ray by voting him as their "Gay Male Hero," an award he has won seven times. Ray was also recognized as First runner-up for "Best Male Activist."

All of this recognition in Houston has come with full community knowledge of his membership on our Board of Directors and his support for equity of health funding. Ray states, "My community in Houston listens and supports fairness."

We present Ray here as he broadcasts his "The Prison Show" on Pacifica Radio station KPFT, 90.1FM.
